1st Hour: If You Really Knew Me...

First Hour

 In an effort to get to know each other and trust each other, I'd like you to take a little risk and post five things that you'd like other people in the class to know about you. The quirkier/more unique and personal, the better.

Here are my five:

1. I am a terrible sport and throw a fit when I lose--especially when it comes to board and card games.

2. I have a phobia of people throwing up.

3. I refuse to eat fruit when it's suspended in gelatinous substances.

4. Every night before I go to bed, I quietly thank the universe that he and Henry are alive.

5. I'm going to try to write a book this year.

      I'm actually signing my son, Sam, up for hip-hop dance lessons and gymnastics. I think it's a great way to develop athleticism and coordination.

    1.) I have OCD and I get paranoid if something is not perfect.
    2.) I get distracted very easily.
    3.) English is my second language.
    4.) I like to write in cursive, but I don't really like to write in print.
    5.) I collect books, but I only read them once.

    1) I have five small dogs in an apartment/town home.
    2) I am absolutely terrified of spiders and snakes. If I see one I will scream like a school girl.
    3) I will not eat mushrooms. I don't like the thought of putting fungus in my mouth.
    4) I don't despise English class. I actually like it.
    5) I have 3 sugar gliders.

    1. I have 2 dogs and both sleep in my bed and kick me off it sometimes.
    2. I once went a full school week with only sleeping 2 hours each day, so I could beat my friends in a video game that we all play together.
    3. I used to play hockey, and have a mild interest in it today.
    4. I once wrote a poem about cheese in 8th grade for a poetry contest and won the first round with it.
    5. I know several programming languages.
