But I think one of the ways for the guilt to increase within him again is if he came face to face with Hassan. If he just did it in order, we wouldn't hear about these flashbacks and how what he is doing in his life in the current time brings back memories from moments that happened in his childhood.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4832816046859664037.post-60096668063388426002015-10-06T09:24:43.678-07:002015-10-06T09:24:43.678-07:00I think it depends on which reader you are referri...I think it depends on which reader you are referring to. I asked my sister if she ever liked Amir and she claimed she only felt sorry for Amir once, when Amir realized his story was missing the obvious that Hassan pointed out when they were younger. After that, she never seemed to like Amir or forgave him. Whereas in my perspective, I think he's been abused mentally his whole life, meeting his father's standards, finishing high school at age 20, etc. and he has realized that he did wrong for not standing up to Hassan. I haven't fully forgave him, but it makes me like Amir a little bit more versus the first few chapters he was a brat and I hated him. So I think it depends on each perspective the reader will look at the whole situation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4832816046859664037.post-20437299142246908082015-10-06T09:23:08.367-07:002015-10-06T09:23:08.367-07:00I think Amir will convince himself that he, as wel...I think Amir will convince himself that he, as well as everything else in his life, is going to be ok, but it's not going to work.
